1 The worker concerned in this trade dispute, Nabbie Flanders, was dismissed by his employer, Auto Rentals Limited, (“the Company”) on Friday 12th June, 1987, for alleged gross misconduct. The worker, who had been employed by the Company for some 16 years prior to his dismissal from the Company's service, was a motor mechanic.
